バルセロナを拠点とする建築家ミケル・エスピネットとアントニ・ウバックの1981年から1994年までの主要作品を収録する。研究施設、大学施設、教育施設、住宅、ホテル、文化施設、スポーツ施設、都市整備計画など幅広いプロジェクトを年代順に掲載。リェイダ大学関連施設、旧神学校の大学施設への転用、サラ・パレス改修、カン・ドラゴ・スポーツセンター、スペイン共和国館再建、ミゲル・トーレス社の醸造関連施設などを収録している。巻頭にはオリオル・ボイガスによる論考「From a Culture of Service」を掲載し、両者の建築における公共性や都市との関係について論じている。
